News From New Egypt, 1878
NEW JERSEY COURIER 21 Nov 1878:
Samuel ROBBINS, a young son of Theodore ROBBINS, met with a severe accident last Thursday, by which one of his arms was broken. We learn that a horse which he was driving became unmanageable and ran away. Two other boys who were in the wagon with him were thrown out and were more or less bruised. This, we understand, is the seventh time the father has been called upon to have broken bones adjusted.
A little daughter of Samuel GRAVATT, 18 mos. old, was severely scalded one day last week by upsetting a measure of boiling water upon itself which had been carelessly placed too near to the edge of the table by it's mother. The child was horribly burned about the face and body, but little hopes are entertained for it's recovery.
