Ocean County , NJ History

Photo was taken in March of 2010. I'm not sure what town this is...it's on the eastbound side of Route 33, just before 527. Maybe Millstone township? At any rate, the house has since been bulldozed.

This was taken in 2011; the building is no longer standing. I seem to remember that it was some sort of bar or club in the 1990s, but memory is failing me as to the specifics.

This place closed years ago. I took this photo around 2013, thinking the presence of the backhoe meant it was about to be torn down. Nope, it's still standing in 2016.

This place was on Route 37, near Bob Kislin's sporting goods, but it is no longer open.

This pizzeria was open in the late 90s, and then closed...in 2012, it was 'Coming Soon'. By 2015, it was again out of business, and the store front is vacant.

This building in Toms River is no longer standing---I believe it was used by the public works or water department; it's been torn down and replaced with a more modern building. It's located on the corner of Indian Head Road and Oak Ridge Parkway in Toms River.

Circa 2010 or 11---I took these somewhere on Old Freehold, I believe south of the elementary school. I know it's since been torn down by Prima construction.

The house is long since gone, but before it was torn down someone abandoned this old hot tub on the front lawn of the abandoned house. It was on Route 527, just across the Monmouth County line.

Abandoned bait shop on Route 37 in Toms River. I took these back in 2010, and the building is still there, often covered with graffiti.
