 Lakewood Citizen, Friday June 19,1942: "John T DeBow, 73, a life long resident of Jackson's Mills died at his home Sunday morning after a long illness. He was born in Davisville, near New Egypt, the son of Thomas and Phoebe Hankins DeBow. Mr DeBow was a member of the Daughters of Liberty lodge, Pride of Charter Oak III; and the Jr OUAM Charter Oak Council. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Ethel Hendrickson DeBow; three sons, Glenn A and Bertram, both of Lakewood and Daniel V DeBow, Trenton; a sister, Mrs Jennie Loveland, Beach Haven and five grandchildren. Funeral service was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Harmony Methodist Church, with the Rev William B Magsam, pastor of the church officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Cemetery".

New Jersey Courier 3 Jan 1919 Miss Ella Mae Loveland of Asbury Park spent a few days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Loveland. Miss Gertrude Fleming spent her Christmas vacation from her duties as teacher in the Camden public school home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Flemming. Private Lewis Herbert of Weehawkin spent Christmas Day with his parents on Osborn Avenue. Misses Virginia and Maude Van Note spent Friday in Seaside Park. Miss Edna Brower spent the latter part of the week at her home on Main Avenue. Mrs. F. Clark returned to her home Sunday in Philadelphia, after spending a few days with her parents on Lake avenue. Thomas Timberman of Jamesburg visited Mr. and Mrs.J.F. Morton Friday. Mr. Golden of Roebling visited Miss Helen Stout over the week end. Frank Ferry and Lloyd Johnson are spending a short vacation down the bay gunning at Barnegat. Miss Florence Worth is ill at her home with the scarletina P. Herley and family have moved from the Beacon-by-the-Sea...

from the New Jersey Courier 28 Sep 1899 Thomas More, a veteran of the Civil War, a member of Company B, 162d NY Vol Infantry, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Loveland, at Bayhead on Tuesday, Sept 19th. Interment took place in the Old Cemetery at West Point Pleasant, sermon preached by Rev. Mr. Dickson of the Presbyterian Church, under the auspices of the Comrades of Elwood Arnold Polst, No. 87, G.A.R. The deceased, however, was not a member of the post.
