John Hendrickson obituary, 1905

from the New Jersey Courier 15 Jun 1905: John Henry Hendrickson of Prospertown, died May 27, after an illness of two months, from heart failure. He was 78 years old. When 16 years old he married Elizabeth Ann Burk of Jackson Mills, and the following children survive with the widow: William of Jersey City; Timothy, Charles and Thomas of Prospertown; Ulyesses of Jackson Mills; Henry of Crosswicks; George of Cream Ridge; Gordon of Allentown; Mary of Yardville; Frances of Lakewood; Letitia of Florence; Hannah of Red Valley, and Emma of Prospertown, All the 13 children attended the funeral services. Also 36 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive, and one brother, Richard Hendrickson of Easton, Pa. The deceased was a farmer. He was a member of the 14th N J Vols, and of G A R Post No 72, of New Egypt. He lived his entire life near Prospertown and had been a member of Imlays Hill Methodist Church many years

Carrie Eldridge Obituary, 1905

from New Egypt Press, 10 Mar 1905 On Saturday morning, March 4th, Carrie Logan, wife of Oliver P. Eldridge, passed away. The deceased has been a sufferer from consumption for several years. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Robbins of this place. Besides a husband, she leaves five small children, three girls and two boys. The funeral was held from her husband's residence on Mill Street, Tuesday afternoon, with services at the Presbyterian Church at 1 o'clock and Interment at Jacobstown Cemetery. Mrs. Eldridge was 32 years of age. She is a sister to Charles, William, Theodore, and Samuel Robbins, Mrs. Geo. Potter, Mrs. F.R. Hope, Mrs. J.M. Thomson, and Mrs. J.McKaig of this place, Mrs. George Tripple of Ocean City, Mrs. Ella McKoy of Cream Ridge, and John Robbins of California.

New Egypt Press 21 Apr 1905: Dr. G. W.Shaffer spent Monday in Philadelphia. The Presbyterian Sunday school has re-opened with an unusually large attendance. Charles Burtis and wife spent Sunday in Philadelphia. Edward Woodward of New Egypt was in Cream Ridge on Friday.
