New Jersey Mirror Mar 9, 1934 died -ATKINSON - May 5, in Whitesbog, Mrs. Louisa Gray Atkinson, aged 63

New Jersey Mirror 8 Mar 1940 Miss Vivian Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Murphy, of Whitesbog, became the bride of Morris Fort, of Pemberton, in a quiet ceremony performed in the Pemberton Methodist parsonage on Sunday afternoon, March 3, 1940. The Rev. W. Neal Raver officiated. Miss Marion Rogers, of Wrightstown, and Elmer Haines, were the only attendants. Mr. Fort and his bride are on a motor trip along the Virginia Skyline Drive and upon their return will reside at Whitesbog.

New Jersey Mirror Feb 6, 1935 died -ATKINSON - January 29, in Whitesbog, Howard E. Atkinson, aged 70. Howard E. Atkinson - Funeral services for Howard E. Atkinson, 70, of Whitesbog, were held at his late residence, at noon on Saturday, followed by services at the Pointville M. E. Church at 1 P. M., with interment in the Pointville cemetery. He died of a heart attack, Tuesday night. Mr. Atkinson was born in Burlington and lived in Whitesbog for many years. He was postmaster there for the past seven years. Deceased was a member of Pemberton Masonic Lodge, No. 199. Masonic rites were held at his late residence on Friday night. He is survived by two sons, Charles and Henry.

New Jersey Mirror 28 Sep 1938 Anthony Rose, 40, a Portuguese, employed at Whitesbog, died in the Camp Dix Hospital on Sunday from a dose of poison taken to end his life. It is reported that he was despondent because of the estrangement of his wife. Troopers from Columbus barracks, passing through the bogs, discovered Rose when they made a search of his house, after seeing a number of persons gathered outside. Rose was found unconscious on his bed. Two bottles that had contained poison were found on the floor. The man died soon after being admitted to the hospital. Coroner John N. Swartz, of Palmyra, issued a certificate of suicide.

New Jersey Mirror 2 Jun 1937 died -SEYLER - May 26, in Mount Holly, Willard Soyler, of Whitesbog, aged 20.

New Jersey Mirror 11 May 1939 Haines-Johnson -- Mr. and Mrs. Thomas T. Johnson, of Elizabeth street, Pemberton, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Gladys Johnson, to Elmer A. Haines, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Haines, of Whitesbog. No date has been set for the wedding.
