Vanderveer Thompson dies, 1954

Vanderveer Thompson, 82, a retired farmer, died on Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Herbert Cottrell, New Prospect Road, with whom he lived.
His wife was the late Mrs Elizabeth Anderson Thompson. Born in Leesville, he was the son if the late Edmund and Phoebe Ann Hendrickson Thompson. He was a member of Harmony Methodist Church, and Fair Play Council, Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Harmony. Also surviving are a son, Leon, Toms River; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Horatio Applegate, Smithburg; Mrs William Leming, Leesville; and four brothers, Cornelius, Hyson; David, Jamesburg; and Daniel and Morris, both of Leesville.
Funeral services were conducted by the CHT Clayton Funeral Home, Adelphia
