Ada Leming missing

The New Jersey Courier of 27 Feb 1908 reported  that "a report was circulated about the county last week that Mrs. Ada Leming of Leesville, Jackson Township, was lost in the woods two weeks before and had not since been seen. She has however now been located with some relatives in Brick Township.

Mrs. Leming was recently a patient in the State Hospital for the Insane at Trenton and when she disappeared from her home it was feared she had a return of her old malady and wandered into the woods, and perished from the cold"

And yet, the next day, the  Lakewood Citizen 28 Feb 1908 reported

"Mrs. Ada Leming of Leesville, who was recently brought home from the asylum, has been missing from her home for two weeks. Search has been made daily, but at this writing, no trace of her has been found."
