Aaron Adler: I found a possible match for him on the 1920 census--he's the right age, and the only match that comes close. He was born in Russia about 1888, immigrated in 1901, and naturalized in 1913. He was married to Fanny Adler, also from Russia. She was born about 1890, immigrated in 1906, and naturalized in 1913. In 1920, the family lived in New York City, where Aaron worked in a candy store. They had a son, Jacob Adler, age 8, and another, Samuel Adler, age 6.
Ten years prior, in 1910, the family lived on Orchard Street in Manhattan. Aaron at that time was a dealer at a rag store, and his wife's name was given as 'Annie' instead of 'Fanny'. A son, Henry Adler, 1 year old was there, as well as Aaron's father, Solomon Adler. Solomon was 45 and worked as a cutter in a carpet factory. All of the adults listed 'Yiddish' as their mother tongue.
