Thunderstorm in Cedar Run, 1918

A thunderstorm with plenty of lightning and rain on Monday last, an unusual occurrence this time of year. Dangerous walking also on Monday. Autos over the county pike went skidding along.
I note that a number of public schools have been closed on account of the scarcity of coal, but do not note of any breweries being closed on account of no coal. Which is the most important, our schools or the breweries?
