There were no quarterly nor public collections taken during the entire year at the M.E. Church.
It is rumored that Wm. NASH the Shoe dealer has just purchased the property occupied by Dr. J. Wm. BICHLER, and will take possession soon. Another rumor is that Dr. BICHLER will move on the Allen place lately vacated by James LARKIN.
Harry COMPTON has been quite ill during the past few days.
Dr. MOODY moved in the house formerly occupied by Chas. GREEN on Wednesday.
Signs of Spring are growing more evident every day.
Robins are plentiful this week.
Walter LUKE who is in the employment of Geo. MILLISLAGLE picked up a rare specimen of an Indian arrow while walking across the Richard HARRISON farm on Friday. The specimen is about 2 inches across and upon scraping the dirt away he found a metal which has very much the same appearance as gold. It is on exhibition at the Central Hotel.
Ward ERRICKSON moved to Allentown on Thursday.
W.C. MOORE moved in the house formerly occupied by Ward ERRICKSON on Thursday.
Wm. JOHNSON is building a new fence and refilling the sidewalk in front of his residence on Maple Ave.
Ellsworth SOUTHARD has repaired the porch of the store occupied by T.R. HOPE.
James LARKIN moved on the Bussom farm on Monday of this week.
John MILLER will move in the house now occupied by Wm. NASH on Front St.
Dr. MCMULLEN of Perrineville was a visitor here on Monday.
The predictions are that fruit will be plentiful this year.
A Board of Trade now organized for the purpose of advertising the town would be an excellent thing for inducing a high class of summer visitors to spend their vacations here.
Geo. HINCHMAN of South Amboy visited Chas. ROBBINS and wife this week.
Gardening is the thing to attend to just now.
Joshua LAMB is improving his residence near Cookstown.
Josph NASH of Philadelphia visited his parents, Michael NASH and wife of this place.
H.M. CRANMER was a visitor here over Sunday.
Ellsworth CAWLEY moved from the [Herman?] farm to one near Wrightstown on Monday.
Mrs. A. R. MITCHELL, of South Amboy, was a visitor among relatives and friends here this week.
W.C. JONES was in Mt. Holly on Saturday.
Beatrice HANKINS of Pemberton was a Sunday visitor here.
Geo H. JONES of Brooklyn who had been stopping at the Shady Grove Farm for the past five months is now boarding with Harry COMPTON on Lakewood Ave.
