John Herbert family

The following bit of information I came across in an issue of the New Jersey Courier; as of this posting I have not been able to find the original record with the date of the paper, although I do believe it was in the 1920s.

John Herbert married a woman named Elizabeth, last name unknown, who lived in Herbertsville, Ocean County, New Jersey. They had a number of children, including the following:

  1. Catherine who married a Mr. Gilford
  2. an unnamed daughter, who died young
  3. Three boys, all dead as of the printing of the article
  4. Hannah, born 1839. She married David Brewer of Herbertsville and had:
  5. Morton Brewer
  6. Herbert Brewer
  7. W.V. Brewer
  8. Charles Brewer
  9. James Brewer
  10. Elizabeth Herbert, Hannah's twin sister (born 1839). She married, in 1860, William Morton, and had:
    Craig Morton
    • Thomas Morton
    • Edward Morton
    • John Morton
    • Ella Morton

All of the Morton children lived in Allenwood, New Jersey.
