Antoinette Kitzman, 73, of Long Branch, died Wednesday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. Mrs. Kitzman was a registered nurse and worked for Dr. Alfred Shapiro in Long Branch for 15 years, retiring 10 years ago. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Council No. 52, Long Branch. Surviving are her husband , Emil; a son, Frank Cook, Ocean Township; two sisters, Rose Morawski, Melbourne, Fla., and Mary Mazza, Long Branch; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

Asbury Park Press 10 Nov 2006 STAFFORD TOWNSHIP — Two sisters died minutes apart Thursday after they were shot in the driveway of their home by their mother's ex-boyfriend, who then turned the gun on himself. On most Thursday mornings, 15-year-old Jessica Veitch would be in school. But with school out for the New Jersey Education Association's convention, the Southern Regional High School sophomore was able to spend the morning with her 21-year-old sister, Melissa. The young women were shot before they were able to make it to the front steps of their Mercer Avenue home after returning at about 11:30 a.m. from a trip to a convenience store. Asbury Park Press 10 Mar 1994 A 16-year-old Lakewood boy plead guilty yesterday to his role in a botched armed robbery in which a liquor store owner was shot and killed. Thorntom Merriweather waived jurisdiction of his case from juvenile court yesterday prior to his entering a plea to first-degree aggravated manslaughter before Superior Court Judge James N. Citta in Toms River. Under questioning by his attorney, Steven N. Cucci, Merriweather admitting going to Best Liquors of Lakewood on Sept. 18, 1993, along with Raheem Montgomery, 19; Paris Martin, 19, and Teron R. Savoy, 18, all of Lakewood, and knowing that Montgomery possessed a handgun and Savoy a shotgun.
