Distillery opens in Manchester, 1879

New Jersey Courier 3 Apr 1879:
The J---?? factory, which was for some time closed for repairs, has been running on full time for the past few weeks, furnishing employment for about 50 persons, mostly boys and girls.
A wintergreen distillery has just been erected, by Messrs. A.S. and A.F. Larrabee below the ---?? factory. This will provide employment for those who have a desire to pull wintergreens, besides being a source of profit to the enterprising proprietors, and why would it not be a sound plan to convert some of the waste cranberry bogs into peppermint plantations and distill the oil?
